Chalet park Fort den Haak, named after the former fort that was located here in the 19th century, is within walking distance of the wide beach of Vrouwenpolder. The beach has the Blue Flag status, which means that the bathing water quality is excellent.
In the dunes, a stone's throw from the former fort, you can have a view of the view that people used to have on a lookout tower. You can also look for the pirate ship that appears to be washed up on the beach or for the impressive Oosterscheldekering.
