Flushing

On the banks of the Western Scheldt lies Flushing, a city with a maritime present and past. Visit Flushing to enjoy the longest sea boulevard in the Netherlands, where you can almost touch the passing ships! There's plenty to experience on the boulevard. On one side of the boulevard, you stand face to face with naval hero Michiel de Ruijter, on the other side, you hear the sounds of the wind organ. To get to know Flushing and the maritime history of Zeeland better, a visit to the MuZEEum is highly recommended. The MuZEEum is located in the Lampsinshuis, among other places. Unique to the Lampsinshuis is the lookout tower. In the 17th century, shipowner Cornelis Lampsins saw his ships depart and arrive here. Now, you can still enjoy a beautiful sea view. A beautiful sea view is also available from the crow's nest, part of the Arsenal. This maritime attraction center is entirely dedicated to pirates and sea animals. Ideal for a day out with the family.
